The Nit de la Roà is celebrated on the night and early morning between August 14 and 15, in which the traditional procession in honor of the Virgin of the Assumption, patron saint of the city, takes place. In this ceremony, thousands of ilicitanos walk through the streets of the old town, carrying a lighted candle in their hands until the early hours of the morning.
