ROOM CANTÓ

Room of 24 m² with queen size bed. Private terrace overlooking our palm orchard declared a World Heritage Site and Cultural Interest. Room equipped with full bathroom with Onyx marble bathtub and gold-plated faucets.

On the cold morning of December 29, 1370, while watching the coast on the beach of Tamarit, the coast guard Francisco Cántó spotted an object stranded on the beach, and as he approached he saw that it was a closed ark containing on its lid the inscription "Soc per a Elig" (I amfor Elig) (I am for Elche). Once opened, he observed that it contained an image of the Virgin Mary and the Consueta de la Festa or Misteri.

Every year the people of Elche commemorate this event on December 28th and 29th. At three o'clock in the afternoon, the arrival of Francisco Cantó on the back of his horse to the city is staged to announce the discovery to the authorities.
